Howard K. Stern is Broke!

Well, that’s what the lawyer and former lover of the late Anna Nicole Smith says, anyway.

Stern has revealed that after spending a year fighting numerous suits against people attacking him over Anna Nicole’s death, he’s basically been left dead broke, and is in debt in the hundreds of thousands.ÂÂ

“I am in debt and basically broke,” 38-year-old Stern said. “There’s this impression out there that I am somehow making money off of Anna’s death. It couldn’t be further from the truth.”

He explained that his many lawsuits (which include the US$60 million libel suit against author Rita Cosby) have taken a toll on his finances, and he’s been forced to borrow money from his parents just to survive. He now owes his parents “hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Tell All Anna Nicole Book: Birkhead & Stern Were Lovers

The secret’s out - Anna Nicole’s two former lovers, lawyer Howard K. Stern and baby-daddy Larry Birkhead were in fact in a gay relationship prior to the billionaire’s untimely death… if you believe Rita Cosby’s version of events in the soon-to-be-released book, Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death.

According to Rita, Stern and Birkhead were engaged in a steamy gay relationship, and apparently cut a deal regarding the custody of baby Dannielynn after Anna’s death.

In one passage of the book, Cosby claims that Anna Nicole and a friend “caught Stern and Birkhead with their shirts off and their pants around their ankles in a Los Angeles home.” The friend, Jackie Hatten, said that it was quite obvious the men were having oral sex.

“Their bodies were intermingled,” Hatten said. “It was obvious what was happening.”

It was this secret affair that helped the two men to cunningly cut a deal about the custody of Dannielynn behind closed doors, with Stern agreeing to hand over sole custody to Birkhead in exchange for being named executor of Anna Nicole’s estate - that way, everyone should hopefully rub off from the fallen star’s wealth.

Of course, both Birkhead and Stern are denying these rumours of a love affair, and intend on taking Rita Cosby to court to stop the lies from being printed.

“None of it is true,” Birkhead stated firmly. “I’m gonna sue Rita Cosby for it.”

He continued: “If she printed that then she is really getting sued. My attorneys are going after her and that is absolutely false. And I am sure Howard and the estate and everyone else involved is going to sue her too. This is just nonsense.”

Lin Wood, the attorney for lawyer Howard K. Stern, called the claims in the book “false and defamatory,” and accused Cosby of taking the coverage “to a disgusting new low for which she will be held legally accountable.”

The shocking plot thickens, however, with the book revealing Anna was pleased with the gay relationship undertaken by her two lovers, and actually hand-picked Birkhead as the father of her next child because she “wanted a blonde, blue-eyed baby.”

According to Cosby, Anna Nicole would regularly “spread out on her bed” and watch a home-made porn video showing Birkhead and Stern engaging in oral sex. This video is said to be real, and its existence was confirmed by a separate source yesterday.

Sounds like a dang-interesting book! When can I get my copy??

Stern to Assist Birkhead in Custody Battle

TMZ is reporting today that lawyer-by-trade Howard K. Stern will assist baby daddy rival, Larry Birkhead, in any way he can during the custody battle, in order to make sure Virgie Arthur keeps her hands off Dannielynn.

A “credible” source has released a statement, supposedly on Stern’s behalf, which states that he will not fight the custody, except to keep Arthur away.

The statement reads:

“If Larry Birkhead is confirmed to be Dannielynn’s biological father, Howard will not challenge custody. His love for her will not change, irrespective of the results. Howard will act in Dannielynn’s best interest, because he loves her and would want a smooth transition to protect her, as she is deeply bonded to those who have been with her since birth.”

“While Howard continues to believe and hope that he is Dannielynn’s biological father, he wants to be involved in her life, regardless of paternity. He wants to share the memories of her mother as the person who knew Anna best and all she wanted for Dannielynn.”

“Howard will do whatever is necessary to assist Larry Birkhead to defeat any effort by Virgie Arthur to obtain custody of Dannielynn.”

“Howard was not part of the paternity lawsuit filed while Anna Nicole was alive. The first person to challenge Howard on custody was Virgie Arthur - not Larry Birkhead. Howard is dedicated to Virgie Arthur not having custody of Dannielynn. He is well aware of how Anna Nicole felt about ‘Mommy Dearest’ and Anna’s feelings were clear regarding Virgie Arthur being anywhere near Dannielynn.”

“Speculation that this is somehow about money for Howard is misguided and wrong. Howard has never made a TV or book deal even though he is the one who knew Anna Nicole best.”

“Howard wants Anna Nicole to be remembered as an icon like Marilyn Monroe, and he knows a lot of damage has been done to her image in the past two months. This restoration of Anna’s image is important for Dannielynn and the views she will have of her mother as she grows up. He also wants to make sure that only Dannielynn profits from Anna Nicole’s name, likeness and estate. As TMZ reported earlier, the money from Anna Nicole’s funeral went to a trust set up for Dannielynn. Howard set up the trust but he does not, and will not, receive any money from it and is not the trustee.”

Dannielynn DNA Results Tuesday!

The day everyone in the entertainment media has been waiting for has finally arrived! Baby Dannielynn Smith’s father is about to be revealed to the world this coming Tuesday!!!

TMZ is reporting that everyone involved in the Anna Nicole paternity saga will be at a Bahamian court on Tuesday - from Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead and Virgie Arthur, to Dr. Michael Baird, the DNA expert from Ohio.

It’ll be nice to see this finally come to an end, and of course, we’ll keep you posted on any new developements.

Howard K. Loses Big

You win some, you lose some…

A few days ago, I reported that Howard K. Stern had one an appeal to stop the inquest into Daniel Smith’s death, but now, the old snake has just lost an appeal…

The lawyer’s appeal on the DNA testing of baby Dannielynn Smith has just been shut down today in a Bahamas court, and Stern has been penalized by a three-judge panel for US$10,000!

TMZ has said that “Stern was ordered to pay $5,000 in attorney’s fees to the Registrar General and $5,000 to Birkhead’s lawyer” (not the rip-off merchant, Debra Opri - the Bahamian lawyer).

This latest development means that we should see the results of the DNA test later this week.

Anna Nicole’s Death Assisted?

New information has just been released that suggest Anna Nicole’s death may not have been as “accidental” as the previous reports claim…

Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward County Medical Examiner who conducted the autopsy on Smith, has confirmed that none of the 11 drugs found in Anna’s system were prescribed to her.

Of the 11 drugs, eight were prescribed to Howard K. Stern, two were prescribed to Alex Katz and one was prescribed to Anna’s personal shrink, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich. At this stage, no one really knows who Katz is, but what is clear is that all 11 prescriptions were written out by none other than Dr. Eroshevich!

Adding more fuel to the fire that Anna’s death was assisted is the fact that the drug chloral hydrate (which was the major cause of her death), was located in a duffle bag across the room.

Anna was apparently described as being “too weak to even get out of bed,” so how did she manage to get up, walk across the room, and search through a bag for drugs?

Oh, and a little tidbit of info…the chloral hydrate was one of the eight drugs prescribed to Stern.

When asked about this, Dr. Perper says he “asked Stern, Eroshevich and the bodyguard if they gave her the drugs and they all said they didn’t.” …gee, there’s a shocker!

In conclusion, Dr. Perper said that even if someone gave Anna the drugs, “It’s not wise for sure, but it’s not homicide.”

Howard K. Stern Derails Smith Inquest

Anna Nicole’s former lover, Howard K. Stern, has just managed to put the inquest into Daniel Smith’s death on hold for at least two weeks.

A lawyer for the lawyer (hehe …couldn’t resist!) “argued the law allowing the inquest was flawed, because it was impossible to impanel a fair and impartial jury,” given the amount of publicity surrounding the death of Daniel, and the recent passing of his mother, Anna.

Stern’s next move is to argue his case to the Supreme Court of the Bahamas, in order to have the inquest into Mr. Smith’s death put on hold - permanently.

I’m sure we haven’t heard the last on this, so stayed tuned…I hope the snake doesn’t manage to slither his way out of this on a legal technicality, but it’s sure looking that way…

Cops Speak With Anna’s Bodyguard About Death

TMZ has posted a very interesting story that would seem to suggest that some of Anna Nicole’s mother’s statements may not have been too wide of the mark.

Anna Nicole’s bodyguard spoke with police about the circumstances leading upto her death.

The cops went to Moe the bodyguards house to question him about security camera video from the hotel where Anna died.

Moe reportedly told the cops that Anna was on “heavy doses” of prescription drugs that day, including flu medicine and antibiotics. He also claimed that in the months leading up to Smith’s death, Howard K. Stern gave her “some types of drugs,” though he didn’t specifically know which. As he put it, “Anna was in a cloud.”

But here is the really interesting bit, privately Moe says that Howard K. Stern had certain patterns of behaviour with Anna Nicole, and that on the day she died he inexplicably altered this pattern. Apparently prior to the day of her death, Stern would continually check up on Anna, but on the day of her death, he didn’t check on her and was no where to be found.

Howard K Stern Admits He Is Not Father

Howard K. Stern has reportedly admitted he is not the father of Dannielynn. He is also willing to sign over paternity rights to Larry Birkhead, who he believes is the father.

Now if you are a cynic, you may think that there would be a catch with this admission and offer. Well, you’d be correct. Apparently good old Howard wants a portion of Anna Nicole’s estate. In addition to receiving a poortion of the estate, he also wants control of it, as well as becoming trustee of Dannielynn.

Howard, who’s admitted he was financially dependent on Anna Nicole, is also rumoured to be claiming the Bahamas house and the boat the star bought shortly before her death.

shortly before her death, Anna Nicole had won the right to contest more $600 million from the estate of her late husband J. Howard Marshall II.

Now that is a large enough amount to keep even Howard statsfied. [Source]
